Was so frustrated, yesterday I posted my CO1U on sale and planned on getting a real condenser and an interface with a phantom power. using WDM, directsound, waveout are not options for me due to latency problems.Īnyway, i've had this since i got my USB mic more than a month ago, and tried every workaround that I see on the net, but still have the same problem. I had a similar issue with my CO1U, where on my Reaper preferences, my input is the CO1U, then on the output it shows "NOT CONNECTED", and no sound comes out of my monitors. i think im gona have to sell my inteface and the mic and purchase a interface with at least a couple of mic inputs with phantom power and direct monitor zero latency recording and then just get a half decent condensor mic so i can record in the fashion that i want.

i even tried uninstalling the roland drivers and seeing if the CO1U and the roland would both work off the asio4all driver but then i didnt get no life at all with the roland. In fact theres nothing at all to select for output its sayin " output not connected" or sumthing like that but my roland is def connected and working properly.

it seems that sound is def coming through when i select asio and then the CO1U as the input but my my roland inteface isnt available in the output options when i do that?! so obviously im hearing nothing in my phones(which is what i basically want(in time) ,that are plugged into the interface and yes ive selected monitor ON.

Helo mate i had another mess around last night. My guess those are microphones for podcasts or other stuff not requiring tight latencies.Īnyway, try to make it work as it is - maybe you'll get some decent results with ASIO4ALL. No idea why it isn't working while waveout works - is the input level moving when microphone picks up anything? Is the track monitoring enabled? Yeah, that's how it's supposed to work - you should have your mic input and Roland outputs both available when using ASIO4ALL. why do these companys sell these mics if their effectivley useless1? i think the majority people would have this latency prob ?! cheeers mate any ideas? is it that much to ask to be able to record a source and be able to hear it coming through the phones in realtime?!!hahah thats all i want say if i record a track and then decide to add acoustic rythem guitar last, i simply need to be able to record in time to the tracks ive already layed down.

selcted WAVEOUT as the audio system and then obviously the samson mic as the input source and the roland as output and then i adjusted the buffers as low as poss and got the latency down to 70/80 ms and was pretty sure ide cracked it but when i tried recording sum acoustic guitar to reapers click track it was virtualy impossible to keep in time.i could in theory lay down an acoustic guitar without monitoring throught headphones but i dont see why i should have to. if i remember correctly when i try and select the asio4all driver in the mic driver settings the asio doesnt appear in the list either?! i played about with all different sorta combinations last night and the best result i got was when i. Hi mate ive actualy got asio4all driver installed already and if i choose asio as the audio system and then select the samson as input and the roland as output(is that what im supposed to do?) then i dont get anything coming through at all. (that's my guess - but ASIO4ALL seems to work with everything)

After you install ASIO4ALL and set it up in Reaper there should be your mic available as an input. Shouldn't conflict with your existing Roland driver in any way. If the microphone doesn't have its own ASIO drivers install ASIO4ALL.
